On the opening night of London Fashion Weekend, I went to see the SHOWstudio exhibition. Technology orientated, but I liked it. I can’t think of another exhibition where the relationship between fashion and film was so inventive. the mix, a few clothing garments alongside models recorded voices on telephones, a recording of a dinner, focus on where the plates lie. The ability to interact with the exhibition made it so much more innovative; drawing on Naomi Campbell, looking, in detail at Julie Verhoeven’s illustrations, which I’d really like if someone bought me the wallpaper which is in the shop at a mere £100 for a roll! There was also a casting room where you were able to record a video of yourself to be possibly contacted in the future to work with SHOWstudio. All in all, a diverse exhibition, I’d like to go again so I could watch all the films though. Have to get back before it finishes.
